Chelsea Manager Betting Odds
The Chelsea Manager betting odds changed yet again this weekend with the speculation that Carlos Ancelotti has now been linked with the post. It would appear that the AC Milan coach had been sought for talks by members of the Chelsea board, but AC Milan refused them an audience and have since scoffed at the reports linking their man with Chelsea.
However true or not, the Bookmakers have installed him as 5/1 second favourite behind Frank Rijkaard. Last week’s favourite, Roberto Mancini is now third favourite at 6/1.>

Further reports have ruled out Guus Hiddinck, who has apparently confirmed his commitment to the Russian National Team until 2010. Jurgen Klinsman too, has confirmed his commitment to Bayern Munich and he will not be speaking to Chelsea.
One name who has remained very quiet throughout all the speculation is current Blackburn Rover’s boss, Mark Hughes. It is known that he has a lobby of support within the Chelsea hierarchy and he could yet be the man. However there has been some serious speculation that he may now go to Manchester City. He is quoted at 10/1 for the Chelsea job.
Rijkaard remains favourite at 13/5 but it seems that he is not subject to the spotlight right now. He is due to leave Barcelona this month.
Whatever the case may be, Chelsea are beginning to look ridiculous and possibly even a bit desperate. The way they showed Avram Grant ‘the door’, would certainly deter several managers, but they must settle on someone soon there is only 10 weeks before the new season kicks off.
