The Lockinge Stakes Odds have Cesare as 3/1 favourite to win the race.This is the first clash of the top milers this season and the Group One race takes place this week at Newbury.

Cesare, trained by John Fanshawe, was a very impressive winner of a listed race last month and will be attempting to give his Cheveley Park owners their third win in the race in the last five years. He will have his work cut out however to do it.

The hugely in form Ballydoyle stable will be represented by Duke of Marmalade, currently a 6/1 shot and could be the latest Aiden O’Brien horse to plunder a big prize over here.

Peter Chappel-Hyam runs Tariq, winner at Group three and Group two level last season. Chapple-Hyam is very pleased with his horse, it’s reported that Tariq is in good form, the trip will suit him and he will have no problem with the ground.

The in form stable of Jeremy Noseda, will be represented by Arabian Gleam, winner of the Park Stakes lest season and a horse Noseda thinks highly of. Reports suggest that Arabian Gleam will be very competitive provided he gets the trip. Mick Channon has a fancied runner in the race too. Majestic Roi, winner of the Group One Sun Chariot at the end of last season and who has wintered well in Dubai. They expect a big run.
