Irish Open Odds
The Irish Open odds for this weeks Irish Open Championship favours a home win in the form of current Champion, Padraig Harrington. He is a 7/1 shot and must be fancied. He is also the highest ranked player in the field and will have hoards of fans supporting him through the four days After winning this last year, Padraig went on to win the British Open in that most famous of play-offs against Spaniard, Sergio Garcia. He will hope that a good performance here will trigger the form necessary to defend his British Open Crown. Sadly, Sergio Garcia, will not be here this week, he is a former winner from 1999 but has engagements in the USA PGA Tour.
Despite missing the cut in the Players Championship last week, (won in fact by Sergio) Padraig is in good form and we all know he loves playing this Tournament. He is currently ranked 12th in the World and he has to be the one to have your money on.
The odds offered by Bookmakers, particularly at the start of a Tournament are usually very generous and backers can often earn themselves some serious money. They have various betting options throughout the four day duration of the Championship and it is certainly worth their while to check them out here.
