Irish 2000 Guineas Tip and Odds

The Irish Guineas Tip and odds have a very good price listed for the highly rated ‘Sammy the Snake’. The Diktat colt was a first time winner in the opening juvenile race in Ireland last season and had one or two Ballydoyle horses behind him.

Sammy the Snake has come back from a hind leg injury and has been kept off track since that opening win. His trainer, Brendan Duke however, thinks very highly of him and has confirmed that he is in tremendous shape and is a very high class colt. “We shall not be going to The Curragh on a fools errand” said Duke, who, at odds of 33/1 is an excellent price for each way backers.

Duke confirmed that the horse has been on the go since January and will be very fit for his reappearance.

The English 2000 Guineas first and second, Henrythenavigator and New Approach are joint favourites at 2/1, while Jupiter Pluvius, who allegedly, was Aiden O’Briens, main contender for Newmarket, until he was pulled from the race, is at 8/1, along with Winker Watson.
