Championship Promotion and Relegation Betting

The Championship Promotion and Relegation betting for both the promotion and relegation battles this weekend make for an exciting final day of the season. No fewer than nine teams are still in the promotion race and a further five teams are threatened with the final relegation spot.

Blackpool v Watford. Blackpool must win if they are to guarantee missing the drop, while anything other than a win for Watford could see their play off place threatened by either, Ipswich, Wolves or Sheffield United.

Charlton v Coventry City. Charlton have nothing to play for, but Coventry will only feel safe from relegation if they win here. A draw will probably keep them safe but a defeat could spell disaster if those below them win.

Crystal Palace v Burnley - Palace's current play off place will only feel secure with a win here. Wolves,Ipswich and Sheff Utd are all waiting to pounce.

Ipswich v Hull. Ipswich must win if they are to have any chance at all of the play offs, while defeat for Hull would end their automatic promotion chance. Hull, however, are guaranteed a play off place no matter what happens here.

Sheffield Wednesday v Norwich. This is a must win relegation match for Wednesday, otherwise they could be caught by both Southampton and Leicester.

Southampton v Sheffield United. A must win game too for Southampton. A draw may save them if Leicester lose, but defeat here against the 'Blades' will relegate them. The 'Blades' themselves must win if they are to have any chance in making the play offs.

Stoke City v Leicester. A draw will see Stoke promoted automatically, but defeat could see them edged out of it by Hull. Leicester on the other hand are in a must win match. Anything other than victory could see them relegated if Southampton get a win or a draw against Shefffield United.

Wolves v Plymouth. Anything other than a win for Wolves will see their outside chance of a play off place ended.

It is all fascinating stuff and provides tremendous betting opportunities. Anything can happen and it probably will
