2000 Guineas Odds New Approach
The 2000 Guineas odds New Approach remains clear 2/1 favourite for this week's opening Classic. Jim Bolger's 'super horse' is well worthy of favouritism too, having yet to be beaten. There are many who argue that the statistics for favourites in this race are not good, as only one has won in the last ten years. This of course is true, however, surely a favourite winner is now well overdue. New Approach looks as if he is the one to do it.

The Godolphin camp still have three entered for the race, but it is likely that number one jockey, Frankie Dettori will ride Ibn Khalud. Ibn Khalud was an impressive winner of last season's Racing Post Trophy and trainer Bin Suroor says he is in good form at home. He also says the same about his two other entrants, Fast Company and Rio De La Plata. Ibn Khalud is in and around the 6/1 mark for the race.
One horse who is unlikely to make the line up is the Peter Chappel-Hyam trained and unbeaten 'Winker Watson'. The horse, who was priced at 10/1 for the race has suffered a training setback. Chappel-Hyam does not want to risk pushing him.
