The odds are of course based on form and the recent history between the two clubs. Chelsea are playing well, their win on Saturday in the Premier League against Champions Man Utd underlined what a very good side they are. They have a formidable record at Stamford Bridge, having gone 100 games without defeat. They have also prevented Liverpool from winning there on the last eight occassions.

Liverpool however have the European pedigree, winners five times and a magnificent record of their own when it comes to semi-finals in this competition. Of course they will have to get over that very unfortunate own goal last week that gave Chelsea a priceless, last gasp, score draw at Anfield, but if they do, its watch out Chelsea.
