Punchestown Festival Tips
The Punchestown festival tips comes on the Friday of the the 5 day Punchestoen festival. The one that we like throughout the five days of excellent action is Franchoek in the Land Rover Champions Novice Hurdle. The Alan King trained and JP McManus owned horse has been kept very busy this season but has also been very consistent. Admittedly he was only second, behind Celestial Halo when short priced favourite in the Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham and he disappointed again at Aintree, earlier this month only managing 3rd behind Elusive dream. However his connections remain undeterred and although he may well start as favourite here too, they fully expect him to end his season a winning note.

The Epsom Derby ante post betting is now starting to take shape with Totesport cutting Curtain Call from 8/1 to 7/1 for the Vodafone Derby following his easy win at Nottingham today. Twice Over remains the 5/1 favourite. Paul Petrie, totesport spokesman commented, “It wasn’t a breathtaking performance but he got the job done with the minimum of fuss and the clip of one point is sufficient.” Meanwhile the firm has cut Double Banded from 16/1 to 12/1 for the totesport Chester Cup with the runner up, Tilt, also clipped from 16/1 to 14/1.
One horse that has seen a lot of interest is the Henry Cecil trained Twice Over who won the Craven Stakes where he beat Raven's Pass and he is now the favourite for the Derby at 5/1.
