The Favourite is number 26 on the card, Cloudy Lane at odds of 5/1. Next in the betting is Slim Pickings who is a 10/1 shout trained by Tom Taaffe, Slim Pickings finished third in last years race. Comply or Die is the next in the betting at 11/1 trained by David Pipe and he has a very good chance as he is a new horse after blinkers have been applied two runs back.
There has been lots of money for two Irish horses in the build up the race, Chelsea Harbour and King Johns Castle. One time favourite for the race Mr Pointment, if he was able to return to his form earlier in the season he has a very good chance as does his stable mate Turko who at the age of 6 could well give champion trainer Paul Nicholls a National victory to add to his great season already.
