Grand National Race Card
The Grand National race card shows the 40 who will participate in the 2009 Aintree Grand National. With the final 40 about to be announced we can all now settle down to having our Grand National bet and the 2009 Grand National race card is outlined on this site. Top weight going into the National looks set to be Cloudy Lane who looks seto be carrying 11st 10lbs. The Paul Nicholls trained horse My Will looks set to be the favourite going into the race after a good recent performance at Cheltenham. The Paul Nicholls stable has been in fine form this year and they will be hoping that continues at Aintree.

Another popular horse on the card is Butlers Cabin who was travelling well last year before falling and he will be well backed once again. Black Apalachi looks to be the strongest Irish candidate and is in with a big shout this year after some fine performances this season. Another interesting horse on the card is 2006 Gold Cup winner War of Attrition who is a class horse as he has proven in the past and many fancy him for a big tilt at the National.
Reports say that Rambling Minster is looking in good shape and he is another one to watch on the card with the big race fast approaching. One notable horse on the card is 2008 winner Comply Or Die who will be hoping to make it two-in-a-row with another victory. He has not had a great season but is a proven stayer and a good jumper and we think he could run a big race especially as an each-way bet.
