Ireland has emerged as the bookies red hot favourite at 5/1 to win this year's Eurovision Song Contest for the eighth time. Paddy Power today slashed the odds on Dustin the foul-mouthed turkey from 8/1 to 5/1 after one customer placed over €1,000 on the bird to sing his way to victory in May with his unique song 'Irlande Douze Points' Never before has Ireland been such a short price favourite to win the Eurovision before the entrant has even been chosen.
Sharon McHugh, spokesperson for Paddy Power said: "Dustin hasn't even been chosen yet and Ireland has yet to qualify but already the nation is behind him. This could be the most exciting Eurovision year yet!"
