Cheltenham Festival Top Jockey Odds
The Cheltenham Festival top jockey odds features all the usual names at the head of the market. Without doubt the clear favourite has to be Ruby Walsh who rides for champion trainer Paul Nicholls and with a leading fancy in so many of the races he is 11/8 to take home this trophy. It is not only Kauto Star that we can put down in the books as the certainty of the meeting, he also has the likes of Twist Magic in the Queen Mother, Noland in the Arkle. He also has so many chances in the novice hurdle races along with every handicap chase and hurdle race he will have a great ride. Anther reason for his short price is that should be finish level with anyone he is bound to have more runners up and third place winners than any of his rivals.

We feel there is only one problem with backing Walsh is that he could always get injured and as such a safer bet would be to back Nicholls to be the leading trainer, as this would eliminate this risk, but his price when it comes out in the next few weeks will be even shorter. Playing this market at the festival is a great bet as you would have an interest in nearly every race and that is the ticket for the greatest horse racing festival in the World.
McCoy at 6/1 would always be interesting, but the festival is never very good for him. Richard Johnston might get a few rides for Howard Johnston and 14/1 could be a bet.
