Cheltenham Gold Cup

The Cheltenham Gold Cup this March is the big match up and the Cheltenham Festival betting reflects this with Kauto Star and Denman the first and second favourites. Having watched them run this season it is very obvious, that Kauto Star has the pace on a good surface and will have to much speed for Denman should the ground come up good. However if the ground is soft then Denman has a great chance, but what is for sure this is going to be the highlight of this years festival.

VC Bet left Denman unchanged as their 2/1 second favourite for the Cheltenham Gold Cup after his success in the Lexus Chase at Leopardstown and shortened up stable companion Kauto Star from 6/4 to 5/4.

Neal Wilkins from VC Bet commented "Denman's performance was more workmanlike than spectacular and we did not feel a reduction in his Gold Cup price was justified. Even allowing for the fact that some of Kauto Star's opponents plainly failed to deliver in the King George on Boxing Day we felt that his was the more meritous of the two victories and have reacted accordingly cutting Kauto Star to 5/4."
