Welsh National Tip
The Welsh National tip for this weeks first of the four major nationals this year at Chepstow is a real tough one for punters. The favourite Miko de Beauchene is not one we would consider mainly on value grounds as he has not done anything in the recent past that justifies his status at the head of the betting. Last years winner Halcon Genelardais can not be fancied as he is carrying top weight and it was back in 1991 that any horse carried this weight to victory in the Coral Welsh National.

The horse we are putting up is Homer Wells trained by Willie Mullins who was a top hurdler and can make it big over the larger fences. At prices of around 10/1 an each way bet on Homer could pay for a few Christmas expenses. Another with a great chance is the Paul Nicholls trained Gungadu who will be ridden by Ruby Walsh. We just feel that his price is a little short but he is bound to give Ruby a nice ride round Chepstow.
One thing that stands out when trying to come up with the winner of this race, is that horses one year out of their novice status have a good record in the race. Also, you should be looking at horses carrying under 11 stone 3 pounds.
