Next Premier League Manager to be Sacked Odds

The next Premier League Manager to be sacked betting is gathering pace with several managers under pressure as Premier League chairmen begin to get twitchy and the pressure begins to tell. Roy Hodgson seems to be living on borrowed time at Liverpool and he is 8/13 odds on favourite with Paddy Power bookmakers to leave following their humiliating 3-1 defeat to Blackburn.

The Liverpool manager appears to be unpopular with fans but he is not alone in being under the cosh as Carlo Ancelotti, Avram Grant and Gerrard Houllier stare down the barrel and are well up in the next Premier League Manager to leave betting. Ancelotti has overseen a horrendous run of form at Chelsea which culminated in an embarrassing defeat to Wolves and leaves them in fifth place and struggling to finish in the top four. The Italian is offered at odds of 7/2 with Paddy Power and has himself admitted he is lucky to still be in a job.

While West Ham's Avram Grant appeared to have bought himself some time with some decent results before Christmas, but a 5-0 defeat to Newcastle has thrown him right back into the lion's den and he is going to do well to get himself out. Grant is currently 5/1 with PaddyPower.com to go and with the January transfer window open the West Ham board could look to make a change sooner rather than later to allow a new manager to make his own signings.

There is also turmoil at Aston Villa with rumours of player unrest and fan disillusionment with Gerrard Houllier. The Frenchman is currently a 7/1 outside bet with PaddyPower and it seems unlikely chairman Randy Lerner will want to make a change at this stage after losing Martin O'Neill at the start of the season. But with relegation now a real possibility it remains to be seen whether this Villa side have the fight to stave off a relegation battle.
