Ladbrokes World Darts Odds
The Ladbrokes World Darts odds for this massive World Darts Championship betting event over Christmas and the new year is really heating up. Alexandra Palace promising plenty of feisty battles. Last year's final rated as one of the game's epic clashes, as Raymond van Barneveld pipped British favourite Phil Taylor to the title. The Power, Taylor is reportedly looking for revenge over his Dutch nemesis this year, but the in-form 6/4 home favourite will not have things easy against big-scoring Barney 5/2. While the big two brace for battle, rising star and World Grand Prix winner James Wade is an 11/2 dark horse likely to tempt many riders, with the upstart going into his opening round match against first name MacArthur this Friday as 1/20 favourite, and 3/10 tip for a 3-0 whitewash.

Taylor kicks off his assault today, with the draw potentially dealing the Englishman a dose of double Dutch: he faces Michael Van Gerwen today (December 18th) and is 1/6 on to send the Dutchman flying back home. Van Gerwen could be a shrewd punt at 7/2, but the rejuvenated Taylor is unlikely to slip up, after showing strong form on the way to victory in the Grand Slam of Darts last month. An impressive 18-11 final victory over Anthony Hamilton sealed a sense of resurgence from the Power, who was visibly demoralised by defeat to Barney at the final frontier of last year's Ladbrokes. Taylor has never faced Van Gerwen before, but boasting a new fitness regime and feeling focused, the favourite is 11/10 on to whitewash his opponent in straight sets.
Another outside bet for the tournament is Terry Jenkins at 10/1 – known as the Bull, or Tucker, the fourth favourite kicks off proceeding on Wednesday night against fellow Englishman Kirk Shepherd. The Bull is 1/10 clear favourite to pull through the early challenge, with a quarter final showing at the Grand Slam of Darts and a final appearance in October's World Grand Prix event proving that he is showing the form to mount a serious assault on the big two.
