Kauto Star heads a field of fourteen for Boxing Day's big King George Chase in what promises to be an outstanding ‘curtain raiser' for the Cheltenham Festival in March. The brilliant 9 year old will be bidding to win his fourth consecutive King George crown thus confirming his status as being the world's top chaser. Kauto is currently a 4/7 odds on shot with Boylesports to win the race, with the Nigel Twiston-Davies trained Imperial Commander next best in the betting at 6/1 with VC Bet

It will be remembered that Imperial Commander ran Kauto Star to a short head in the Betfair Chase at Haydock Park in November and also won the Ryanair Chase at the Cheltenham Festival back in March. He is a quality horse and a big improver who, should he improve once more could take Kauto all the way again and make a real race of it.
