The Paul Nicholls tips when he makes a comment about one of his horses the racing World takes note. In recent times Paul Nicholls the Ditcheat based trainer has made it to the very top of his profession after a solid run as a professional Jockey. For a number of years he was the main challenger to Martin Pipe in the trainers' title and when he won that in 2006, Martin went into retirement. Nicholls has to the two joint favourites for this season Cheltenham Gold Cup in his yard in Kauto Star and Denman and is the envy of all the trainers in the country. The extent to which Nicholls moves markets is demonstrated by the way Denman drifted on the morning of the Hennessy after Paul was less than optimistic about his chance, but of course we all know the outcome of that race.
