The Tingle Creek Chase tip for this week's big Grade One race at Sandown has to be the 2009 Arkle Trophy Chase winner, Forpadydeplasterer.

The Bookmakers of course cannot see beyond Big Zeb who ran the great but now injured Master Minded to a head in the Kerrygold Champion Chase at the end of last season. Unfortunately the field has been reduced to just five runners, but each of them come into the race with a big chance. This applies particularly to Well Chief conqueror of Master Minded last time out in the Grade One Connaught Chase at Cheltenham. The David Pipe trained, 10 year old looked to be back to his best of a couple of years ago, improving significantly from his second place to Master Minded in the Champion Chase at Cheltenham in March; he has a very obvious chance and would be a good bet for many with odds of 10/3 from Paddy Power.

Second in the betting is the Paul Nicholls trained Twist Magic winner of this race in 2007. Nicholls is bidding to win this race for the fifth time on the trot and believes that in Twist Magic he has a great chance of succeeding. Twist Magic can be backed at 5/2 with VC Bet.

Mahogany Blaze, trained by the in form Nigel Twiston-Davies is the fifth runner and is the outsider with odds of 33/1 from Ladbrokes. We think that at a price that big he would be worth a small gamble, particularly so with the expected improvement he will make from his 1½ length second behind Well Chief in the Connaught Chase.

in conclusion all five runners have chances, but we are going to stick with Forpadydeplasterer in the belief that he will be the biggest improver and who has the scope, based on his Arkle success to go on to bigger and better things.
