Our Tingle Creek Chase Tip for this week's Grade One Tingle Creek betting chase may surprise one or two serious punters as few can look beyond Master Minded winning the race. The likelihood is that Master Minded will win, but making his seasonal reappearance in such a high quality race on difficult ground might not necessarily be the best thing for him.

Master Minded is clearly a top quality horse; when winning the Queen Mother Chase last season by 19 lengths from Voy Por Ustedes at the Cheltenham Festival he looked invincible and rightly earned the highest rating for any chasers in the country. However it must be remembered that three weeks after that sensational win, he dumfounded the racing world by losing by a similar margin to the very same horse, Voy Por Ustedes at Aintree. It is true that excuses were made for him from the stable but it seems strange that prior to the Aintree race the stable were saying that he was in great from and had come out of the Queen Mother in fine shape.

That said we do believe he should win but we shall be covering our bet with a side wager on the Nicky Henderson horse, Jack The Giant, provided her runs. The Henderson stable is in incredible form at the moment, better than any other stable in the country right now and in Jack The Giant they have a chaser of real class who has won five races out of seven over fences, before developing a problem which kept him off the race course for almost a year. He had already proved himself a speedy horse after several big success over hurdles.

Jack The Giant is over his problems now and his winning return last month over fences showed he had not lost any of his class when winning the Grade 2 Carey Group Handicap Chase at Ascot by 11 lengths from Lord Henry. We believe that he can take advantage of any weakness that Master Minded may have and is at good odds of around 5/1 to do so.
