Tingle Creek Odds
The Tingle Creek odds for this weekends Grade One Tingle Creek betting Chase has the Paul Nicholls trained, Master Minded as resounding favourite to make a winning reappearance. There has been as much interest in the betting markets of who actually will get the ride, as Nicholls has been put into a quandary with the form and bad luck of his stable's number two jockey, Sam Thomas, who has been spending as much time getting up from the floor as he is getting on to a horse's back.
Thomas would have been the natural choice to ride Master Minded as number one jockey, Ruby Walsh, is still recovering from a ruptured spleen. However after an incredible run of bad luck, Thomas may have to be relegated to ride one of Nicholls other entries in the race, possibly Twist Magic, who won the race last year.

The ride on Master Minded may well be taken up by Champion jockey Tony McCoy and if that happens then expect the odds on Master Minded to shorten even more from their current 8/13 on. He is the current highest rated jumper in the country even ahead of Denman and it seems the biggest threat to him in the race will come from his own stable, particularly if Tidal Bay goes for the Peterborough Chase next week in preference to this. In addition to Twist Magic and Master Minded, Nicholls has also entered Takeroc and Natal; he clearly hopes to keep his hands on the trophy that his stable has won for the last three years.
