Next Wigan Manager Betting

The next Wigan Manager betting is sure to put the Premier League managerial merrygoround back in to full motion for the fourth time this season. Chris Hutchings was sacked on Monday following just one win in twelve Premier League games this season for Wigan Athletic. He joins Jose Mourinho, Martin Jol and Sammy Lee who have also been sacked as Premier League managers this season

The Wigan job was only Chris Hutchings second as a full time manager. His previous position was as Bradford boss in 2000, where ironically, he was sacked after just a couple of months following taking over from Paul Jewell, having been his assistant. However, as with Wigan, Hutchings failed to recapture the standards set by Jewell and found himself out of work.

Wigan Chairman Dave Whelan said of Hutchings sacking “It is crucial that we maintain our Premiership status…following recent results and performances it is critical that we act now. It is in the best interests of the club’s long term future.”

Likely candidates fort the job will include current Birmingham and former Wigan boss Steve Bruce, Graeme Souness, Wolves Mick McCarthy, Burnley’s Steve Cotterill and even Cystal Palace’s recent appointment Neil Warnock should not be ruled out, especially following Gary Megson’s recent appointment at Bolton after just six games in charge at Leicester. It may also be interesting to note whether there is any betting interest in Paul Jewell, who is still out of work having left on very good terms with Dave Whelan.
