York Ebor Tips
The York Ebor tips are coming to the surface this week ahead of the big and popular York Ebor meeting, the meeting which is now a four day affair with some superb racing and a main feature race each day. Needless to say, there are Group One races and that of course means Aiden O'Brien who will be hunting for more glory again during the week. The first big race, the Juddmonte International Group One takes place on Tuesday the first day and with the best will in the world we cannot oppose the claims of O'Brien's magnificent, Duke of Marmalade. The colt seems light years ahead of this field and our only surprise is that his odds are only 4/6. His nearest challenger in the market is Henry Cecil's Phoenix Tower, who is at 6/1, but the best he can hope for here is second spot.

On the following day in Tote Ebor Handicap, we are going to go with George Margarson's entry, Young Mick. Third two years ago the trainer says Young Mick is in great form at home and has been trained with this race specifically in mind. He is a currently an 8/1 shot which is great value.
The Yorkshire Oaks on Thursday looks likely to be a terrific renewal and the race looks to be between, Epsom Oaks winner, Look Here and the Aiden O'Brien trained, Irish Oaks winner, Moonstone. In the Epsom race, Look Here unexpectedly got the better of Moonstone and went on to record a fabulous win. Undeterred however, Moonstone went on to the Irish version and won by a squeak from stable mate, Ice Queen. We take Moonstone at 7/2 to reverse the form in this race and give O'Brien yet another Group One winner.
Friday sees the Nunthorpe Stakes and what a great sprint this looks likely to be. Marchand D'Or who looks like the fastest thing on four legs currently will not be running, but Captain Gerrard from the Brian Smart stable who finished fourth behind Marchand D'Or recently in Chantilly looks to be a solid chance to go in here. Smart has been saying very positive things about his home form and is very confident ahead of the race.
