US PGA Golf Odds
The US PGA Golf odds show that the bookies are uncertain about the likely outcome of this weeks championship at Oakland Hills. This is becasue Vijay Singh's win at the WGC Bridgestone tournament last week and the good showing of several other big fancies in that event has made it difficult to mark up the odds on thier likely favourite. Golf however is always the same, any player, if he hits the ball good for 4 days can win, it is the fundamental reason why golf odds usually have a generous look about them. Vijay Singh's win last week was his first victory for some time, but perhaps, like so often happens, he will find it difficult to play at the same level for two tournaments in a row. It seems Tiger Woods is the only player in the world today who can do that and therefore it is difficult to see Singh winning again this week.

Those of you who think he can could get odds of around 20/1 and on that bais he is most certainly worth an each way punt. The PGA Championship is a tournament that big Fijian loves however, he has won it twice in 1998 and 2004. The favourite for the Championship in the absence of Woods is inevitably Phil MIckelson, he is backable at around the 10/1 mark. He too had a good showing at the Bridgestone event last week, finishing 4th, but he had led up until the 15th but dropped three shots in the final four holes that put paid to his chances. Top Europeans in the betting are headed by Sergio Garcia at 16/1, while twice British Open Champion, Padraig Harrington, is an 18/1 chance. Lee Westwood who came a very creditable tied runner up to Singh at the Bridgestone is a 22/1 chance. Punters should remember that no European has ever won the PGA Championship
