As ever bookmakers Paddy Power are hot on the heels of the trending news. The Daily Mail posted a report that Prince Harry is now all coupled up with a new woman, Florence Brudenell-Bruceand as a result the bookies are offering a market on where they will first appear in public. The favourite is that they will initially be seen at a Polo match at odds of 11/4 and the proviso is that the evidence will only count if a photo appears in a national UK print paper.
Having made it quite public that he and Chelsy Davy were no longer an item in the Spring, Prince Harry has been under the scrutiny of the paparazzi for his next move and it seems he has wasted no time in finding himself another long haired blonde. Florence is no stranger to the camera's lens or the paparazzi's interest having dated racing driver Jenson Button for two years and in her professional life she has modelled lingerie, appeared in a Bollywood movie and is about to appear in an episode of ITV's Lewis, but on the mortuary slab.
There was much speculation that Harry and Pippa Middleton would hook up, when they seemed so at ease during his brother's marriage to her sister, but in many ways Florence is altogether more appropriate. Her name, Florence Brudenell-Bruce, has hints of empire all over it and her lineage is certainly more aristocratic than Pippa's or Kate's. She is a descendant of the Earl of Cardigan and is in fact distantly related to the Prince, they are eighth cousins, and evidenced by the fact that she has a very fancy pad in the capital, she will not find it hard relating to Harry or his set and has recently split up with her boyfriend Henry St George, another name that indicates West End rather than East End roots.
The suggestion that they would first be seen together at a polo match would therefore be entirely appropriate. Harry loves the sport and Florence would be well within her comfort zone. It is interesting to note at this point that Paddy Power themselves have used the talents of Miss Brudenell-Bruce as an actress in one of their TV commercials advertising their online services so perhaps the speed with which they have jumped on this story is further explained.
