After the controversy surrounding Arlene Phillips being sacked from Strictly Come Dancing, she has found her perfect roost on the panel of new dance show, So You Think You Can Dance. With fellow judges Nigel Lythgoe, Louise Redknapp and Sisco Gomez she holds court over those aspiring to wear the title of Britains' Favoutite Dancer, but it must be said does not have the same feeling of TV Gold or longevity as her previous abode.
Having pulled off such a coup with Strictly it looks like the BBC sought to cash in on the Nation's new love affair with dance when actually Strictly is more about the nation's love affair with Celebrity of which there is clearly a dirth in So You Think You Can Dance. Nigel Lythgoe is always the most unlikely looking expert in this discipline with little flair, passion or excitement, Louise Rednapp has the same level of credential as Alesha Dixon on Strictly and whilst Sisco is colourful and enthusiastic in his delivery no-one really cares.

This week in Round 4 the eight remaining dancers are paired up to perform new routines that they have learnt during the week. Charlie at the moment is looking to have the best chance to win, which would also put her in position to win Top Female too. However the variety of choreography challenges all the dancers extensively each week and it would not be difficult for others to sneak up behind her on the back of their choreographers expertise. Robbie is closest to her at the moment, but Alistair, Yanet and Lizzie are not without a chance.
The dancers have been paired randomly and are appointed choreographers randomly so the variables are prolific and make a gamble more difficult to make. Charlie is obviously the sparkler at the moment but Next Elimination may be a safer bet than predicting the winner at this time in the proceedings.
Arlene may be glad to have found a new TV home but may find it's more of a weekend cottage than a comfortable second home!
