As the British Open Golf tournament starts on Friday, the best of European and American golfers will congregate at St Andrews, the home of the game, vying for personal glory. Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson lead the transatlantic challenge but Englishman Lee Westwood is already sitting as second favourite to lift the coveted trophy. All eyes will be on the big stars of the game this weekend, but thoughts will drift towards the team event this autumn and whilst 2018 may seem a long time off, it could be an easier gamble than the winner on Sunday afternoon!
