Over The Rainbow Odds: Danielle Hope Increases Lead

Last week's evens favourite found herself in the bottom two on this week's Over the Rainbow and after a clearly difficult decision by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Stephanie is out. For a man who always looks extremely uncomfortable in his own skin, the Lord was visibly moved by having to choose between Stephanie and Steph this week after an evening of accomplished performances and whilst according to bookmakers Paddy Power welsh Sophie was most vulnerable she survives for another week .

Even Jessica, who had spent the week in silence combating a throat problem belted out an impressive rendition of 'Cabaret' and avoided the chop.

Danielle's forte appears to be her abilty to display authentic emotion rather than just hold a tune and her curly locks certainly do not make it hard to envisage her wearinng the famous red shoes. Lauren, who has been saved once at the 'sing off' and seemed to display an uncomfortable arrogance is now finding her niche and at 5/2 behind Jessica may well be the one with the experience to sustain the pressure to the end.

Whilst everyone seems to have a soft spot for Sophie it seems unlikely that she can really compete with the front-runners to the end and may well only have another week before leaving. Steph will certainly pull out all the stops since being in the drop zone as she did when this occured before and whilst Jenny is quietly moving through the rounds she will need to find some of the energy and qwerkiness that she displayed in the first weeks to avoid her own demise.

Whoever wins Lloyd Webber must be feeling very smug that the stable of hopefuls he has to choose from are of such a high quality. Another Hit and 6 weeks of free publicity only Toto could prove a challenge!
