Leinster v Toulouse Odds: Irish side hot favourites in the semi final betting

The Heineken Cup has reached the semi-final stage and the draw has thrown out a repeat of last year's last four clash between Leinster and Toulouse. Leinster take home advantage at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday this time though and are odds on 4/11 favourites with Paddy Power, while reigning Cup champions Toulouse are priced 11/5, with the draw a tempting 20/1.

Toulouse emerged victorious by 26-16 on home soil this time last year but the boot is very much on the other foot this time around as Leinster look to give a sell out crowd some Irish cheer. Leinster have in fact moved into favouritism to win the tournament outright at odds of 11/10 with Paddy Power and it is no surprise after their win over Leicester Tigers in the quarter-finals.

They beat the Tigers 17-10 to ensure they continue their European adventure despite domestic disappointment that has seen them lag behind Munster in second place in the Magners League for much of the season. They have certainly enjoyed home advantage this term though, winning their last fourteen on home soil and their two appearances at the Aviva Stadium so far have both yielded wins.

Leinster's main concern could be the appointment of English referee Dave Pearson, who has a reputation for penalising the Irish style of play, but Leinster should have too much quality when push comes to shove on Saturday.
