After their mauling at the Stade Francais a fortnight ago, Ireland must now travel to Twickenham to take on England, for a match which could be pivotal in deciding the destiny of the Six Nations Grand Slam, Six Nations Championship and the Six Nations Triple Crown.
Ireland saw their hopes of back to back Grand Slams disappear in Paris, where they were whacked by a rampant French side by 10-33. Handling errors galore in the backs, a lackluster show up front by the forwards and a perfect game exercised by France effectively cost Ireland the game and took the ‘wind completely out of their sails’.

England however looked far worse when winning their last match against Italy than Ireland did when losing to France. Adopting a non-descript strategy from the start, England had just about enough ‘know how’ to repel an enthusiastic Italy, but their overall performance leaves many wondering what sort of future the team has under manager, Martin Johnson.
