Scotland v Italy Odds: Scots favourites in the betting for wooden spoon clash

Scotland take on Italy on Saturday afternoon at Murrayfield and know only victory will do if they are to avoid the Six Nations wooden spoon. Scotland have lost all of their games so far and are 4/11 on to beat the Italians according to Victor Chandler, while Italy will be buoyed by their first win after they shocked France last weekend and can be backed at odds of 2/1, with the draw available at 20/1.

The wooden spoon has often been taken by the Italians but last weekend's result has heaped all the pressure on Scotland ahead of the match at Murrayfield. The Scots last finished bottom in 2007 when the Italians stunned them by winning 37-17 at Murrayfield and a repeat of that scoreline is unthinkable for Andy Robinson's team.

Mirco Bergamasco finally found his kicking boots after a poor tournament so far, but they have surprisingly opted to make six changes to the team that won last weekend, as Alberto Sgarbi, Kris Burton, Paul Derbyshire, Leonardo Ghiraldini, Salvatore Perugini and Quintin Geldenhuyo come in. It is an odd move to change a winning side and that could just disrupt their winning momentum.

The Italians have only suffered one humiliating defeat this season when they were overawed by England at Twickenham and all of their other matches have been tight affairs.
