France v Wales Odds: In form Welsh could upset the betting and win in Paris

Wales maintain a mathematical chance of winning the Six Nations ahead of their final match against France at the Stade de France in Paris on Saturday evening. Much will depend on how England do against Ireland earlier in the day but we fancy Wales could well beat a demoralised French team and they are available at odds of 3/1 to do just that with Paddy Power. France are 2/9 on but are coming off the back off two straight defeats, the last against minnows Italy.

Second placed Wales are on a run of three consecutive wins since they lost out to England on the opening day of the tournament and they are looking to secure a fourth successive Six Nations win for the first time since they won the Grand Slam in 2008. They still need to turn around an unlikely points disadvantage of 42 between them and England, but will be confident of victory as they beat France as recently as 2008 and have won at the Stade de France in 1999, 2001 and 2005.

They will however have to do without the services of Shane Williams, who will retire after the World Cup later this year and who has a knee ligament injury. It is a huge loss as he is just two tries behind Brian O'Driscoll in the all time Six Nations tryscorers list, but George North does come in and he looks an exciting talent. North scored two tries on his debut against South Africa in November and he looks great value with Paddy Power to score the first try on Saturday at odds of 12/1, or to score a try anytime at 11/4.

They take on a French side who are seemingly in disarray after they lost to England and then followed that up with a shock 22-21 defeat to Italy. Coach Marc Lievremont came out after the match and criticised his players for betraying their country and he has rung the changes as Damien Traille, David Marby, Alexis Palisson, Imanol Harinordoquy, Thomas Domingo come in for Sebastian Chabal, Sylvain Marconnet and Yoann Huget amongst others. There is talk of Lievremont being sacked if they lose on Saturday and all the pressure appears to be on Les Bleus.

Vincent Clerc has been the one consistent performer for his side and he is favourite to score the first try at odds of 15/2 with PaddyPower.com. France haven't lost three Six Nations matches since 2001 but we fancy their current troubles could increase against Warren Gatland's resurgent Welsh side. The Wales win by a margin of 6-10 points can be backed at ambitious odds of 10/1, while the handicap market looks decent value as Wales have been given an advantage of +9 points by Paddy Power and are available at odds of 10/11 to win.
