Leicester v Bath Play-Off Betting: Defending Champions to Prevail at Welford Road

Despite playing ‘second fiddle’ to Leicester for several years, Bath have earned themselves the right to take on the defending champions in this Guinness Premiership, Semi Final, Play-Off at Welford Road. Leicester, quite understandably have been made favourites to win the match with Ladbrokes offering 4/11 odds on, but have not ruled Bath out of it completely, by quoting them at 12/5.

The two teams met at this stage and at this venue last year in a match that the Tigers won easily by 24-10 which possibly means that fans could expect a similar scoreline this time around too. The two teams also met at Welford Road at the beginning of April in their second league encounter of the season, which Leicester won even more comfortably by 43-20. Oddly enough, that was Bath’s only defeat in a 12 match winning run, which saw them come from nowhere in the table to make the 4th qualifying position.
