Six Nations Odds Point to Ireland and France Battle

This weekend signals the start of the 2010 Six Nations Rugby and we are in for some classic matches in what is potentially the most open tournament for many years from a betting point of view, France and Ireland are heading up the odds for the tournament but it is almost too close to call with England and Wales also lurking dangerously in the background. France are packed full of talent and they are given a slight advantage by Victor Chandler who rate them as the 5/4 favourites to win the tournament outright, they start off this weekend against the Scots at Murrayfield and will be looking to get their campaign off to a flying start.

Latest 2010 Six Nations Betting With VC Bet

Ireland are of course the Grand Slam Champions and are eager to repeat the trick in 2010 although they have a tough task on their hands, they start the tournament with a home banker against Italy with the crunch match coming in Paris in a couple of weeks time. The winner of that match is likely to go on and have a chance at the Grand Slam as well as the tournament win itself, France will fancy their chances but Ireland are packed with experience and should go to the Stade De France full of confidence. England are the dark horses of the tournament betting and they face Wales at Twickenham on Saturday, the winner there will gain confidence but England have to be favourites on home soil and a new look team. Wales have only won at Twickenham once since 1988 and that means that the 7/2 about England winning the tournament with VC Bet looks good value, a win for England will see them face Italy and Scotland next in good form and the chance for three out of three.

Latest 2010 Six Nations Rugby Previews and News

The Grand Slam Betting is showing us that Ireland are unlikely to repeat their 2009 heroics with all the major bookmakers going odds-on about there being no clean sweep in 2010, the best chance lies with the winner of France and Ireland and both teams will fancy their chances but we take there to be no Grand Slam in 2010.
