The Singapore Grand Prix was re-introduced to the F1 calendar in 2008 following its discontinuation way back in 1973. It is the only F1 Grand Prix that it is raced at night, making it totally unique and a different experience for the drivers. Recent winners of the latest edition of the Singapore Grand Prix are Fernando Alonso, who won in 2008 and again in 2010, with a win for Lewis Hamilton for McLaren in 2009.
The circuit is known as the Marina Bay Street Circuit, which is similar in design to that of the Monaco Grand Prix circuit. There have been widespread concerns expressed by the drivers over the track’s bumpiness with most declaring that the circuit is harder to negotiate than Monaco, particularly in the hot and humid conditions which are usual at this time of the year. Drivers clearly expend more energy and strength to complete this race more than any other, a factor which should be considered if having a bet on the race.
The main characteristics of the track are that it is just over 3 miles long and comprises 23 turns, making it a slowish track in comparison to others. Slow speed tracks usually require a high downforce which should suit the Red Bull’s and Ferrari’s, although with McLaren making several modifications to their vehicles they should also be well in contention.

The Japanese Grand Prix is one of the most popular races with the F1 drivers as its Suzuka figure of eight, track provides one of the sternest tests of driving and race management. It was won in the past by Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull and the World Champion is likely to be short priced in the betting this year.
The track includes several challenging corners, with some very fast straights and always makes for an exciting race. It also has a huge bearing on the world driver’s championship with only four races to go after the Japanese GP has concluded.
