Indian Grand Prix Betting

The Indian Grand Prix is the latest addition to the Formula One season calendar and is due to take place in October each year. It is an exciting new betting opportunity with very little in the way of recent trends to help the punter make sense of the latest odds, but it is fair to assume that the usual suspects will be in the mix.

The likes of Sebastian Vettel, Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso are likely to be at the head of the ante-post betting and it will be an exciting addition to motor racing as it makes his long await debut in the calendar. It has been touted as being an F1 race since 1997 and after much wrangling about where it was to be held it was due to finally make its debut in 2010. That was delayed but it should finally hold a race for the first time in October of 2011 at the Jaypee Group Circuit in Greater Noida, which is just outside of Delhi.

The race could well be a crucial race in the F1 season as it takes place towards the end of the season and the betting for the drivers' championship and the constructors' championship is likely to be hotting up.

World champion Sebastian Vettel cruised to yet another victory as he won the inaugural Indian Grand Prix, although the race was lit up by a fine performance from Jenson Button, who secured second place after overtaking Fernando Alonso and Mark Webber on the first lap.
