British Grand Prix Betting - Free UK Bets

The British Grand Prix is an institution much like the FA Cup Final or the Grand National Betting and following an uncertain winter it has been confirmed that the F1 roadshow will be rolling into Silverstone for another 17 years. F1 fans in the UK are delighted with the news and the punters will flock to see the likes of Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton.

Check out latest World Drivers Championship Standings.

This is the biggest Formula One Betting event by a considerable margin for UK bookmakers and so there are several bookmakers offering promotions for F1 punters, this means there is plenty of opportunity to make the race a lucrative one.

Silverstone is a very quick circuit and captures the imagination of the public as there is always an abundance of action which makes for an excellent betting heat. The British Grand Prix was awarded to Donnington in 2009 but they were unable to meet the financial requirements which meant that Silverstone stepped in to the delight of Motor Racing fans.

Formula One is an excellent vehicle for Grand Prix Betting as things can change very quickly and most of the bookmakers listed on this site do excellent Formula One betting coverage.

The main attraction for betting punters will be the McLaren duo of Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button as the fans clamber to have a bet on a British winner, in 2009 the winner of the race was Sebastian Vettel of the Red Bull team.

2011 British GP Result

Fernando Alonso took the 2011 British Grand Prix as his Ferrari proved to be more than a match for the pace of the Red Bulls. There was a pit stop problem for Sebastian Vettel which let Alonso in, and Vettel eventually finished second after team orders stopped teammate, Mark Webber, from passing. There was little for British fans to cheer as Lewis Hamilton took fourth and Jenson Button had to retire.

Result

  • 1st  Fernando Alonso, Ferrari – 25 pts
  • 2nd Sebastian Vettel, Red Bull – 18 pts
