Once again it is Red Bull who have dominated practice, this time for the Hungarian F1 Grand Prix, on the Hungaroring, where it will be Sebastian Vettel on Pole position, with Mark Webber joining him on the Front Row of the Grid. Vettel has also been made favourite to win the race with odds of 4/6 available from Ladbrokes with Webber a 9/4 shot with the same Bookmaker.
There was a shock in store for the McLaren team when reigning World Champion, Jenson Button failed to qualify for Q3 and has had to settle for 11th place on the grid., thus probably ending any chance he had of winning the race. His McLaren team mate however, and winner of this race in both 2009 and 2007, Lewis Hamilton, drove as well as he possibly could to qualify in fifth place and earn a price of 20/1 to win the Hungarian Grand Prix, for the third time in four years from ladbrokes.
As far as the rest are concerned, it was third and fourth place on the grid for the Ferrari team of Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa, but after the shenanigans of last week concerning team orders there will be few punters backing Massa to win if Alonso remains on track. Nonetheless the two are quoted at 11/2 for Alonso and 20/1 for Massa, but we would advise that the 5/4 available for an Alonso podium finish might be a better bet.

As far as the world championship is concerned, Vettel has taken over favouritism to win his first title too with odds of around the 7/4, while Hamilton, who is 14 points clear at the top of table from nearest challenger, Button and 21 points clear of Vettel, can be backed to regain the world title with odds of 5/2. The value bet in this market however might be the 13/2 available for Webber, who is clearly as determined to win the crown as anyone else.
