European F1 Grand Prix Odds: Red Bull Dominate Front Row Again

Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel claimed pole position for the European F1 Grand Prix in Valencia this Sunday and at the same time grabbed favouritism to win the race. Paddy Power Bookmakers have installed him as the 5/6 odds on favourite, with his team mate Mark Webber, who will share the Front Row with Vettel, next best in the market at 4/1. The two drivers were well clear of the rest of the field in the Qualifying stage and provided they have no mechanical problems during the race they look set to dominate.

Britain’s Lewis Hamilton, who leads the Drivers Championship currently, will be third on the grid, but knows it could have been better had it not been for a braking mistake on the last qualifying lap. Nonetheless he will go into the race full of confidence and intent on going one better than last year when he finished second behind Rubens Barrichello. Hamilton can be backed to win the race at 9/2 with Paddy Power.

European F1 Grand Prix Odds Comparison.

Alongside Hamilton on the second row, will be home favourite, Fernando Alonso of Ferrari, twice a winner of this race but only when it was raced on the Nurburgring Ring in Germany. Alonso can be backed at 13/2 to win, while his Ferrari team mate, Felipe Massa, who did win this race on this circuit in 2008 is a 20/1 shot.

Defending World Champion, Jenson Button had another disappointing qualifying session, finishing only in 7th place and quite a long way down from the top three. If anything however, Button is a much better race driver than qualifying driver and it would surprise no-one to see him come through the race and claim a podium position, for which he carries odds of 9/2 from paddy power.
