Mark Webber of Red Bull grabbed back to back Pole Positions, when qualifying first for the Monaco Grand Prix. He had to ‘pull out all the stops’ to get ahead of surprise leader, Robert Kubica who finished just two tenths of a second behind. The two will now be on the front row of the grid, but it is Webber who has been made 4/6 odds on favourite with Ladbrokes to win the race, while Kubica is next best at 4/1.
British pair, Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button, both past winners of the race, qualified for McLaren in fifth and eighth places respectively, while Webber’s Red Bull team mate, Sebastian Vettel qualified in third.
2010 Monaco Grand Prix Background and Driver Odds Comparison
Eighth place was quite disappointing for World Championship leader, Button, who was clearly frustrated by the tyres used in practice and by the shenanigans of Ferrari driver, Felipe Massa, who clearly slowed him up during final qualifying. His odds of 40/1 to win the race as he did last year with Ladbrokes look well worth avoiding, however, Button can still be backed at around 10/1 to win the World Drivers Crown for the second successive year.

Monaco is a notoriously difficult track to overtake which is why Webber has been made such a hot favourite, provided his vehicle stands up to the rigours of the race, he should win his second race in a row and become a very serious contender for the championship.
As far as the constructors race is concerned, Red Bull are 4/7 odds on with Ladbrokes to pick up the points in Monaco, which would take them up to top place in the overall championship for the season.
