Windsor Forest Stakes Betting

The Windsor Forest Stakes is a relatively new addition to the prestigious Royal Ascot Meeting in June after it was introduced in 2004. The whole meeting is an exciting opportunity thanks to it being one of the biggest meetings in the horse racing calendar, and it includes races such as the Coventry Stakes, Ascot Gold Cup and the Coronation Stakes.

The Windsor Forest is open to thoroughbreds fillies aged four and over, and its Group Two status ensures there is plenty of quality on show. It is run over a distance of 1 mile and takes place on the second day of the meeting, along with the Royal Hunt Cup and the Queen Mary Stakes.

The quality on show is likely to be highlighted by strong competition in the betting and in the past the likes of Soviet Song, the highest rated filly in the world in 2004 and 2005, was winner in 2006.

The odds of entries from the stables of Sir Michael Stoute are well worth keeping an eye on in the ante-post betting as he has picked up several winners in the race already and several place finishes, so maybe an each way punt could be worth a look.
