Racing Plus Chase Betting

Formerly known as the Racing Post Chase, the Racing Plus Chase is a very important Grade Three Handicap Chase ran over three miles and 18 fences at Kempton Park in late February each year. The race has been a regular on the NH calendar since 1988, when the inaugural race saw Rhyme And Reason win for trainer, David Elsworth and jockey, Brendan Powell. This partnership went on to win the Aintree Grand National a few weeks later and since that time the race has become an important trial for the Aintree spectacular.

Despite its auspicious start, the race has only produced one further Grand National winner which was Rough Quest in 1996, but nonetheless it has produced many good other quality winners, including the 1990 Irish Grand National winner and NH legend, Desert Orchid.
