Punchestown Champion Chase Betting

The Punchestown Champion Chase is part of the exciting Punchestown Festival and takes place on the opening day of the five day meeting. It is a Grade One national hunt chase at the Punchestown racecourse in Ireland and it takes place each year during late April or early May.

The race itself involves a distance of 2 miles and there are 11 fences to be negotiated along the way and in recent years there have been several contenders who come from Cheltenham Festival.

It is well worth looking out for the odd of the Cheltenham success stories as several horses arrive having run in the Queen Mother Champion Chase. Master Minded in 2009 won both the Queen Mother and Punchestown Champion Chases in the same season and that could be worth consideration - particularly as a betting double of a horse winning both races could offer some tempting odds.

Champion Novice Hurdle

The Champion Novice Hurdle is also part of the exciting five day Punchestown Festival in late April or early May and it is an exciting opportunity to look at some of the hurdling talent for the future.
