The Galway Racing festival is Ireland's number one Horse Racing Festival, it is also the number one betting bonanza for Irish bookmakers. The meeting is one of the most colourful in the world and lasts for seven days with many taking a week’s annual holiday to be there. It is a feast of both Flat and National Hunt races which brings together some of the best horses and jockeys in Ireland with plenty of challengers from the UK. The Chase course is quite unique with the final two fences being very close together which can seriously hamper those contesting a fast finish.
