Fort Leney Novice Chase Betting

The Fort Leney Novice Chase is a Grade 1 National Hunt race held at the Leopardstown Racecourse in Ireland. It takes place each year in late December during the Christmas Festival at the racecourse and it's worth keeping an eye out for the latest betting as the race begins to gather more prestige. In 2011 the race will take place on 28th December.

It is run over a distance of 3 miles and is for 4 year olds and over. The race was once a Grade 2 and a Grade 3 race in the past, and was recognised as a Grade 1 race in 2003.

In betting trends, Noel Meade has enjoyed some recent success as a trainer, winning in 2008 and 2009, in the race and it may be worth looking at his horses' odds when placing your ante-post bet.
