Flying Childers Stakes Betting

The Flying Childers Stakes is the first race run on the third day of the St Leger Meeting at Doncaster Racecourse. A Group 2 event for two year olds, the race is run over five furlongs and gives us a glimpse who may be some of the best sprinters the following year as a three year old. The race was first run in 1967 and was originally called the Norfolk Stakes, but changed it's name due to the clash with the race of the same name at Royal Ascot. Flying Childers was a famous 18th century racehorse bred near the track.

Previous winners of the race include Fleet Spirit who was trained by Jermey Noseda and ridden by Frankie Dettori who has an excellent record in the race.
