The Epsom Oaks is the major Classic race for fillies over the same course and distance as the Derby. The Oaks is staged at the Epsom Derby Betting meeting and is for 3 year old fillies only, run over one mile and four furlongs.

Johnny Murtagh guided 20/1 shot Dancing Rain to a fine victory as the filly won from the front after dictating the pace and managed to quicken up under pressure from Wonder Of Wonders at the end. Murtagh produced a great ride to win his first Oaks at the eleventh attempt and it was trainer William Haggas's first runner in the race, with 25/1 punt Izzi Top in third.
