2013 Dubai World Cup Betting - Meydan Bets

The Dubai World Cup has emerged as a leading Horse Racing Betting event on the World stage and each year the festival goes from strength to strength. The racing in Dubai attracts the very best horses from the UK, South Africa, Australia and the US and as such can be regarded as a real world class event.

The Dubai World Cup will be staged on the 26th March, which coincides with the Dubai Shopping Festival. It is sponsored by Emirates Airlines and is worth US$ 6 Million, making it the richest horse race in the world. The race is also ran as the climax to the Dubai Racing Carnival which begins at the end of January.

Dubai World Cup betting has grown enormously over the last few years in the UK as both dedicated racing channels Racing UK and Attheraces cover the event live. The venue for the race is the new Meydan racecourse which is 10 minutes from the main city. The left handed dirt track is 2.2 kilometers (1.36 miles) in length and was first laid out in 1986 and resurfaced in 1997 before the Dubai World Cup '98.

The race is the feature on a card which comprises four further Group One races and two at Group Two level. Making it perfect for free bet offers. The total prize fund is in excess of $15 million.

Grand National

The next big betting horse racing event after the Dubai World Cup is the Aintree Grand National, the single biggest betting race in the UK and possibly the world. 40 runners will go to post in April and take on the frightening Aintree fences in a bid to win the first prize, which these days exceeds over a half million pounds.

The race was won in 2009 by 100/1 outsider Mon Mome who shocked the racing world by winning. His trainer, Venetia Williams is one of a very few number of ladies who have ridden in the race, but who became the second female trainer to saddle the winner.
