Cherry Hinton Stakes Betting

The Cherry Hinton Stakes hosts some of the best that flat racing has to offer as it is open to 2-year-old thoroughbred fillies. The Group Two race takes place each year during July on the July Course at Newmarket and it involves a six furlong sprint.

The race is a useful grounding for these juvenile sprinters and when betting on the race it is well worth keeping an eye out for potential stars for the following season. Many winners of the race have gone on to win a Classic race in the following season, with Attraction winning the 1000 Guineas and Irish 1000 Guineas in 2004 - so keep an eye on the odds of the winner next season!

The race is also part of a special betting opportunity in that it is one of the features of the opening day of Newmarket's three day July Festival Meeting, which also features the July Cup.

Trainers worth following in the ante-post betting are the stables of Sir Michael Stoute and Sir Henry Cecil, who have both claimed four winners each.
