The Cheltenham International meeting is the third of five top class meeting which is held at Prestbury Park Racecourse every December. It is a two day festival which hosts seven races each day. As usual there will be a comprehensive range of Cheltenham Free Bets.
The feature race of the two days is the Grade 2 International Hurdle over 2m1f, which is the penultimate race of the meeting, but more importantly is a very important trial for the Champion Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in March. The race was won in 2010 by Menorah, who also won the Greatwood Hurdle and was also the 2010 Supreme Novice Champion. Also on the second day is the Atlantic 4 Gold Cup over 2m5f, he Grade Two Albert Bartlett Novice Hurdle over three miles for novice staying hurdlers and to finish off proceedings the Grade 2 Relkeel Hurdle..
The first day of the meeting is usually a great horse racing betting day which features the second Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase of the year which takes place on the cross country course and covers a distance of 3m7f. There is also the Grade 3 Majormo Hospitality Chase over 3m1f, plus a couple of very good handicap hurdle races, which should attract plenty of those heading for the Festival in March.
