Challow Novices' Hurdle Betting

The Challow Novice Hurdle forms part of an exciting month for national hunt racing as it takes place each year during December. It is a great opportunity for betting on novice hurdlers, who should have gained a touch of experience over the obstacles as the season is in full swing by this point.

The Grade One race is open to horses aged four and over and it involves a distance of 2 miles and 5 furlongs, with ten hurdles to be jumped along the way.

Furthermore, Reve De Sivola used victory in the race as a platform for success in the Punchestown Memorial Champion Novice Hurdle, Backspin upset the odds in 2011 to win the race on only his third start and in the process handed Jonjo O'Neill a third win in the race, with entries from the Irish trainer's tables worth a look in the ante-post betting.
