Adonis Juvenile Novices Hurdle Betting

The Adonis Juvenile Novices Hurdle takes place at Kempton during February each year and is an important race in the betting diary of many punters as it serves mainly as a trial for the Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham Festival.

The race itself is a Grade 2 national hunt race and is for novice hurdlers aged four years old and over. It involves a distance of 2 miles with eight hurdles to be negotiated along the way.

It is the principal trial for the Triumph Hurdle, which takes place in March, and with the Cheltenham Festival less than a month away it is a great time to check out form, odds and potential dark horses for the race at the famous Festival.

There have been several winners of both the Adonis and the Triumph in the same season which highlights both the quality of the novice hurdlers on show and the importance of the trial on Cheltenham and its ante-post odds. Mysliv, Katarino, Snow Drop, Penzance and Soldatino have all won both races, while 2007 winner Punjabi went on to claim Champion Hurdle glory in 2009, as did 2008 winner Binocular at the 2010 festival.
